Securelux

Workmanship Warranty & Service Standards

Every security screen installation involves mechanical components that interact with your home's structure. What matters is how the company behind the install responds when something needs adjustment.

The Securelux workmanship warranty

Every Securelux installation comes with a 12-month workmanship warranty. This covers any installation-related issue, not just product defects, but the quality of the fit, alignment and function of the screens and doors as installed by the Securelux team.

This is separate from and in addition to the Crimsafe manufacturer warranty, which covers the product itself for up to 10 years (plus 2 years with conditions, depending on the tier). If a problem arises and it is not clear whether it is a product issue or an install issue, Securelux handles the investigation and resolution directly. You do not have to chase the manufacturer yourself.

Common post-install issues Securelux addresses

Door sagging

Hinged security doors can sag over time, particularly on large or heavy doors, or where the door frame itself has settled. Securelux uses heavy-duty hinges designed to resist this; if adjustment is needed, the SecureCare team can re-align and re-tension.

Noisy or stiff operation

Sliding screens can develop noise or resistance if tracks collect debris, rollers need adjustment, or the frame has shifted slightly. Track cleaning, roller tuning and frame checks resolve most cases.

Misalignment

Changes in the building's structure, common in Queensland's expansive clay soils, can cause frames to shift. Securelux identifies whether the issue is with the screen or the substrate and addresses it accordingly.

Lock engagement issues

Multi-point locks occasionally need fine-tuning as components settle. Securelux checks striker plate alignment, latch engagement and key operation.

What happens when you call

  1. 1

Call Securelux on 1300 11 51 51 or contact through the website. You are speaking with the same company that sold, built and installed your products.

  2. 2

Describe the issue. The team will assess whether it can be resolved with guidance over the phone or whether a site visit is needed.

  3. 3

If a visit is required during the workmanship warranty period, it is covered. Outside the warranty period or for non-warranty matters, a clear fee structure applies, including the flat $99 call-out for break-in or vandalism response.

  4. 4

The issue is resolved by a Securelux-employed technician who knows the products, the installation, and the company's standards.

Break-in and vandalism response

If your property experiences an attempted break-in or vandalism that affects your Securelux-installed screens, Securelux will attend for a flat $99 call-out fee to assess the damage, determine whether warranty coverage applies, and arrange repair or replacement as needed. This is a direct, named commitment, not a general promise to help out.

The warranty is not just about fixing things. It is about giving you confidence that Securelux stands behind its work, not just on install day, but for the life of the relationship.
