Security film
3M Ultra 600 Security Film
3M Security Film is designed to sustain a higher load while being stretched more, holding shattered glass together on impact. Applied directly to the interior face of the glass, it slows forced entry by making glass significantly harder to break through quickly.
The Ultra 600 Security is a 6 mil (0.15mm) film. When glass is struck, the film holds the fragments in place, reducing the risk of injury from shards and denying rapid access to intruders.
Pricing ranges from around $100 to $1,000 per panel, depending on glass size and installation complexity. A Securelux consultant will measure and quote on-site.
Solar control film
Reduce heat gain and UV transmission
3M Solar Control Film reduces heat gain through glass, lowering cooling costs during Queensland’s long summers. Applied to the interior face of existing windows, it can significantly reduce the amount of solar heat entering a room.
Solar film also blocks a high proportion of harmful UV radiation, reducing fading of furnishings, flooring and artwork. It is an effective upgrade for existing single-glazed windows without the cost of replacement.
